![]() ![]() The other issue is the fact, that the Flirc/Kodi profile doesn't fully work for you. You don't press anything on your physical keyboard connected to the PC. As long as you use the same after recording it should work. It (mostly) doesn't matter which device profile you configured on the remote. So press the button on the remote you want to be associated with letter P. It should start blinking and you should see a prompt at the bottom to press a button on the remote. Then on the keyboard in the GUI, you press the key with P. So, for example, if you want Flirc to "press" the letter "p", then you need to launch the Flirc software, go to Controllers menu and select Full keyboard. It's up to you to teach it what it has to do with the IR signals sent by your remote. 1 reply 759 views jason JanuDoesnt work with Harmony 665 By. Help needed - Using Flirc to map any keyboard key to Harmony Remote By Ultimathor, January 9, 2022. 18 replies 852 views pen2paper January 29 Flirc v2 very slow response and missing keys events. It doesn't care if you're using Harmony, some other universal remote or some dedicated remote for some device. Philips TV (Kodi) By pen2paper, January 18. Besides the few built-in profiles which are predefined for a quick start with Kodi or FireTV, Flirc doesn't make any assumptions regarding the IR signals. And you can map the remote to keyboard keys any way you like.I think you've misunderstood how does the Flirc work. You can use almost any device profile (for example for some TV almost because some IR protocols are not working that well with Flirc - I always recommend Samsung or LG TV as they often use NEC family protocols) and just use Flirc software to teach Flirc to use that profile. On the other hand, you are not required to use those profiles in Harmony. These profiles provide basic functionality for people that don't want to set up everything themselves and just control their player right away. Their support in Flirc is built into the Flirc's firmware and doesn't even require installing Flirc software for them to work out of the box (at least on a standard QWERTY keyboard layout). ![]() All the Flirc profiles (Flirc Kodi one included) are provided for a quick start with Flirc. Regarding the Harmony profiles, the Microsoft Kodi one has nothing to do with Flirc. You can think about it in terms of a virtual keyboard where you map your remote controller's buttons to specific keyboard keys and key combinations (with modifiers like shift, alt etc). Should I just be trying to find an RC6 receiver.did I misunderstand the features of the Flirc or how it interfaces with the computer? The Flirc itself installed just fine, no driver issues, and the firmware even updated at first boot of the software. My other issue is that although the Flirc has perfect line of sight to the remote, yet it is either laggy or won't register a remote press at times.Cannot sleep or wake the computer either. The flirc for that harmony profile is using built in profile of kodi via flirc software. The second flirc is setup in harmony as media center pc -&. Hello all,Im trying to use two flirc with a single remote (harmony). Will not put the computer to sleep or wake it. Microsoft Kodi: can navigate start menu, but missing play, pause, stop, etc. However, I run into the following issues with various Harmony profiles: My hope was that I could replicate the same functions with the Flirc and my new HTPC. The Kodi/Harmony profile that Flirc provides is a HUGE help and has allowed me to use my Harmony One with my Raspberry Pi/Kodi setup for a couple years, but that profile doesnt cover all available Kodi keyboard controls and itd be really nice if I wasnt still having to reach for a wireless keyboard so I can press the 'M' key every time I. The Zbox has a profile in the Harmony database (not sure if that matters).navigate the start menu in Tablet Mode with the 650.I can currently do the following with the Zbox and a Harmony 650 remote: I also have another HTPC, a Zbox, that came with a remote and IR receiver, which is my frame of reference. ![]() I recently purchased a Flirc Gen 2 and have been trying to set it up on a new Windows 10 HTPC with Kodi. ![]()
